Janet D. London, LCSW

About Janet London

Janet London has the ability, experience, and professional dedication to empower you to make the changes you seek. Her style is both nurturant and challenging. She has been married for over 30 years and has raised two daughters.

Her Approach

Janet's approach to therapy is problem-focused and consists of both short term as well as longer term individual, couple, and family work. She sees therapy as a process that focuses on each person's strengths and responsibilities that are brought to their relationships. She believes that empowering people in this way encourages action, increased self-worth, and desire for deeper connections.

Her Background

Janet holds a master's degree in clinical social work from the University of Wisconsin Madison and a bachelor's degree in human development from Cornell University. Since receiving her graduate degree, she has obtained advanced certification in couple and family therapy from The Family Institute at Northwestern University, as well as divorce mediation and clinical practice with lesbian, gay, and bisexual individuals and their families.

Janet is an Approved Supervisor of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy and trains graduate students at The Family Institute during their clinical internship. She also supervises master's level clinicians in her private practice.

Janet is bilingual and can provide therapy in Spanish.
